Fortunately the old villages in the southeast of Mallorca have mainly been preserved from large construction developments, so the villages such as Santanyi, Felanitx, Alqueria Blanca and Cas Concos have kept their Mallorcan charm. Here you will find a wide range of cultural activities as well as excellent restaurants, well known bars, galleries and studios.
The coastal villages such as Cala d'Or and Porto Colom with beautiful marinas have their own special and unique ambience.

Nature is still intact, numerous bays and sandy beaches fall within conservation zones - particularly the beautifully long sandy beach of Es Trenc and the pictorial natural park and beach of Cala Mondragó.
